Locating the International Welcome Desk

In Pau:

The International Welcome Desk in Pau is open during the open hours of the DRI in Pau

  • Monday & Thursday: 13:30 – 16:30
  • Tuesday & Friday: 09:00 – 12:00
  • and by appointment: please contact us (welcome @ univ-pau.fr) to book yours.

On the Basque Coast:

The International Welcome Desk in Anglet is located in the Pavillon Montaury.

Once per week, you will find the International Welcome Desk staff at the CRL Côte Basque in Bayonne. It is recommended to make an appointment: please contact us (welcome @ univ-pau.fr) to book yours.

Future and current PhD students and researchers:

The International Welcome Desk is Service Center within the Euraxess France network.

For logistical support and assistance with administrative steps relative to your stay at the UPPA, please register via the portal here.

PhD students with doctoral contracts, post-docs and researchers who are employed by the UPPA should ask the host professor or laboratory manager to contact the HR department to obtain a hosting agreement (Convention d'accueil pour chercheur étranger (hors UE)).

Visiting PhD students and researchers whose stay is financed by an entity other than the UPPA (CIFRE contract, salary from their home university or other employer) should contact the International Welcome Desk (welcome @ univ-pau.fr) to find out if they qualify for a hosting agreement given their particular situation.

Future and current Undergraduate (Licence) and Masters students:

For assistance with administrative steps relative to your stay at the UPPA, please contact us by email. (welcome @ univ-pau.fr)

In order to respond to your request, please indicate the following information in your email:

  • your full name (last name in CAPITAL LETTERS),
  • your birthdate,
  • your nationality,
  • your current country of residence,
  • your current level of studies or professional occupation,
  • what year of studies interest you at the UPPA: 1st, 2nd or 3rd year of undergraduate studies (licence), 1st or 2nd year of Masters studies
  • which field of study or department interests you
  • what type of visa you have (if you have one already)

Indicate in your email what kind of information you would like:

  • Application process to study at the UPPA
  • Requesting your first visa for France
  • Visa / residency card renewal (titre de séjour)
  • Housing
  • International Welcome program (before the beginning of the school year)
